Our house! In the middle of the street! Our house!

We paid the deposit for our house!

It's the strangest thing...

I'm moving back to a house in SS5C PJ, and my house used to be just a street behind. I loved the years I spent there too. So I'm really excited to have a family there!

The land title was registered on April 17th, my birthday.

The house number is also the same as the last 2 matching digits of our handphone numbers.

Vendor went to the same College as us too. Haha.

Exciting times! :)

Love love love love love love love love love love... :)

Sunday 6 December 2009

Venue sorted!

Muahahaha... I'm so happy! We've paid the deposit. :)

Our reception will be at Royal China, Jalan Ampang on 20.11.2010!

Wednesday 2 December 2009

Aww... this poor blog of mine.

I have not been updating, was thinking of stopping.

Got all nostalgic today though (so many old posts and stuff) so I decided to post now.

What a looooooooooooooooooooong day. I had a hearing, moved office, had a loooooong meeting and had Korean food for the first time ever (Yes, yes, I don't know what rock I just came out from :)).

I also recently got a major haul of books at the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale. Haha.. RM208 but I scored 25 books!!! That's less than 10 bucks a pop!

To top it ALL off, I got an early christmas present from Kevin - Pride and Prejudice and Zombies - the deluxe heirloom edition. I'm sooooooo thankful for it. :))))))))))) Taking mini bites out of it, I don't want to finish it all at once.

Vexed by venues...

Oh no... I'm feeling really troubled right now.

J finally caved and went venue hunting with me and so many of the venues have been taken up. Now that we've crossed out a large number of possible venues, there's really not many places left.

I hope that J is right and that everything will work itself out.

Tick Tock...

A bit panicky now... Haven't really done anything in terms of the wedding stuff!

It hasn't been easy. We've seen some pretty awful places. E.g. dining room view of a water treatment plant, stinky house behind a sewer treatment plant, abandoned bed in kitchen etc. etc.

We finally saw a great little house yesterday! I just love it. It's exactly what we both wanted. The floor plan is almost identical to J's home, and its located near where I live now :) Best of both worlds.

I hope everything falls through. I'm going to the bank tomorrow to discuss a home loan. *fingers crossed everyone*

As we need a place to be a married couple in, we have been house hunting quite a bit though.

I have managed to finalize my save the date e-card though. Planning to send it out soon! I did it all on my own on Adobe Illustrator. (Thank you youtube tutorials!)

It's in homage to our early couple days when we went everywhere together on bikes :)

20112010 :)

My mom got the date for our chinese wedding ceremony and reception today, and its 20.11.2010.

In the meantime, our families have had the "their getting married" dinner.

It was held in conjunction with my brother's post-PMR dinner.

We therefore celebrated:-
  • my brother's freedom;
  • the lost of J's freedom; and
  • (according to my dad) my parents' freedom from me once I'm married!

Everything and nothing...

You can have everything but still feel like you have nothing.

You can have nothing and feel like you have everything.

Which one are you? I know which one I am. :)

Bridezilla Population Increases By One! Run Folks!

Yup, that's right! We are getting hitched. Wheeee... :)
J asked my dad for permission this morning.

Time to get cracking on the wedding plans!

Reasons To Love Him More

When filling up a form today, he listed "Children's Future" as No 2 out of 5 in terms of priority! :)

Thursday 9 July 2009

spit please.

Haven't blogged in ages.

Can't believe I left an old man sitting in a tree on my blog for so long.

Work has sort of consumed my life, and my weekends seem to whiz by ..

I've taken MC for today and I sure needed it.

I don't know when I'll pick up the momentum here, but I hope I can again soon.

No wonder she looked so familiar

... She was in True Blood!

I'm gonna find pipes just like those, and stick that right there too!

Thou shalt not watch E!Online only.

I've got to watch National Geographic once in awhile. I only knew about the last 2 wolverines, not the 1st! Hahaha.. Terrible.

Tuesday 21 April 2009

it's not just wishful thinking...

Nick wishes he had that many hats,
I wish I had that many DVDs. :)

Tuesday 14 April 2009

hmmph...

Sunday 12 April 2009

This is what happens when people are too tired but stay up talking anyway...

J: What do you think a female aligator is called?
LH: Aligatrix?

LH: What's a female zebra called?
J: Don't know.
LH: ZeBRA la!
J: What's a male zebra then?
LH: ZebLAN!

J: Female platypus?
LH: Platypussy!

Hahaha.. I wish we were more intellectual in the middle of the night.

Thursday 9 April 2009

It almost popped!

This post is totally random. Inside joke. :)

Friday 3 April 2009

Ron Arad's a genius!

He really has to put this in the market. I'm sure people would buy this. I would! I would!

Sunday 29 March 2009

Hmm... who would I kill for the library, the books and the puppy?

Wednesday 25 March 2009

AWwwwWWwwWWwwWwww....

The world's smallest mail service! Super duper cute!

I want these on my wedding cake!

When are you getting married?

Hmm... the most ubiquitous question lately.

Andy Lau is marrying his girlfriend of TWENTY FOUR years.

Right, I'm not planning to get married tomorrow or anything but

years... Wahliaowei.

The only redeeming thing is, Andy Lau is freaking handsome lah... so lotsa incentive to wait, I guess. :S

In the meantime, I just discovered this LOVELY LOVELY blog about wedding stuff!

Tuesday 24 March 2009

Courtesy of Rolcats!

Cease your protests, the deal is done! You are to make a fine wife for uncouth American businessman!

Monday 23 March 2009

Totally meleleh for this phone!!!

Wednesday 11 March 2009

Self explanatory... haha

Tuesday 10 March 2009

Alamak.

Sigh. I just realised that the laptop I bought comes with a backlit keyboard version. I wish I had gotten that. :(

It's really hard to type sometimes, and I am not an amateur touch typer...

Sigh.

It would be so much easier... DAMMIT.

Disgusting

I really hope that Rihanna cancels her concert so I can have my money back.

I just read the LAPD Officer's Affidavit at E!Online and I'm really shocked at how Chris Brown is still nominated for the Kids Choice Awards, I'm also shocked that she could take him back, is this how much self-respect she has?

I don't want to take my brother to see her concert. I don't think he should ever think that it's okay to beat a girl.

Speaking of other things I don't want my brother to become, please see Kelvin Ng.

This assh*le was actually on Fly FM and speaking trash about his wife. If the things he said were true, why kneel 10 hours for forgiveness? Jerk.

Monday 9 March 2009

I've wanted to post this picture for ages.

Wo..

I thought Harriet Po (yes, my laptop's got a nerdy name) had to be sent in for fixing. Scary.

Sunday 8 March 2009

The dawn of a new era...

Yeay! I bought myself my very first laptop!

I wanted a Sony Vaio desperately cause it's oh so pretty.

BUT after shopping around I found me my new pet...

Just as pretty but way better specs... nyahahahaha

Saturday 7 March 2009

just me and my conspirancies

Q:Why would Rihanna forgive Chris Brown?

A:Duh... He has naked and/or sex pictures and/or vids of Rihanna!

The latest definition of the word "CRAP" - The Watchmen (2009)

This is for Nick who wanted to see Dr Manhattan in his full glory. :)

I can't believe I spent 2 hours and 40 minutes in the cinema!

Was it like "oxygen turned to gold"?

Well, the answer is no.

Thursday 5 March 2009

OMG

Hahahah I must seriously stop randomly googling my name or IC number.

The first time I did it, I was in Bristol, it was my third year in uni, and PTPTN had decided I was a loan defaulter. So there it was my name, my IC number under the heading "something-something PTPTN loan defaulter" in Malay.

I just did it again, and dammit, I found this.

Booked

I lost my book. It only cost RM4.90 but still...

DAMMIT.

One thing though, it had a really ugly cover.

Here's the cover it had.

Here's the Rob it oughta have on its cover :)

I *heart* Rob

Sunday 22 February 2009

I totally agree. :)

Melanie Berliet wrote an article "Plastic Surgery Confidential" for Vanity Fair, and she managed to brilliantly describe exactly how she feels (as I do) about plastic surgery

I’ve always thought of plastic surgery as a wealthy, distant relative—

one I don’t want to know now,

but on whom I might have to rely someday.

Tadaa! The Exhausted Garlic Peeler!

My mom is a kitchen appliance nut. She's got 3 different fruit juicers etc. etc.

But most recently she bought herself a garlic skin peeler ---> basically a rubber tube in which you put a couple of cloves of garlic in, then you rub the tube in your hands till the skin comes off.

Anyway, the box had the best lines I'd seen in quite some time.
The exhausted garlic does not injury, rips the garlic skin such to be simple
Time-saving reduces effort, to be quickly convenient
This product uses the import high polymer elastic silica gel material to make environmental, wear-resisting, but the elder uses. The outward appearance is novel, the easy to operate, compared to the manual exhausted garlic skin quick several fold, the exhausted garlic does not injury, reduces effort quickly. Uses digs up the principle dry, does not need the water and electricity, does not need to service, is the family, the restaurant, the hotel, the cafeteria and so on exhausted garlic good helper!
Will do the big garlic cloves to put in the mysterious garlic rosser, then the keep flat on the tabletop, back and forth rolls from the fingertip to the palm with the strength 360 degrees rubs several seconds, hears after the sound, the garlic skin falls off, the exhausted garli skin relaxed, is rapid, is clean, in the hand will not have the unusual smell, the finger will not be stimulated by the garlic juice.

Jargon...

At a conference of sociologists in 1977,

“Love” was defined as “the cognitive-affective state characterized by intrusive and obsessive fantasizing concerning reciprocity of amorant feelings by the object of the amorance”?

Do you think you feel that?

Sunday 11 January 2009

Tonight, on a very special re-cap episode...

I just celebrated my 3rd year anniversary with Jason, we stayed at G Hotel in Penang. (Here's a tip: The cheaper "Superior Room" is much nicer than the "Deluxe Room".) So it's official, he's the longest lasting bf I've ever had... and probably the last bf I will (or want to) have. (Muax!)

I've got tickets to see Rihanna!!! Wheee... :)

I'm treating my brother to his first concert and will be going to watch it with Jason, Nick, Arch and Winnie. Nyahahahaha!

I can't wait to shout "-ella! ella! ella!" with the rest of the crowd. :)
I also can't wait to hear Jason shout "Justice Rider!" when it's "Just ain't right!"

I also managed to get a cute lil' blue dress from Topshop, 50% off! Perfect to wear to the concert. (If I can tahan and not wear it until then. :P)

CNY is just round the corner, I would go shopping for more clothes but the shops in the malls are just blasting those awful bastardized CNY songs right now... so not conducive for shopping.

What else... hmm... well work is work.

Monday 5 January 2009

Blink and it's over.

I've been counting down to my sister's wedding for more than a year. Got very used to my countdown showing 3 digits, then 2, and all of a sudden it was 0.

It was good. She looked wonderful. He looked happy. That's all that matters really.
So that's all I shall say too.
